Volleyball Lost to Knights in Five Set Match

WAVERLY, Iowa - The University of Dubuque volleyball team was looking for their first American Rivers Conference win on Tuesday night when they travelled to face the Wartburg College Knights on their home court. UD won the first set 27-25, dropped the second set 17-25, lost the third 20-25, rallied back to win the fourth set 26-24, and lost the final set 13-15.
Grace Hintze led the Spartans with 16 kills as the Spartans hit .126 on the night. Grace Strawser collected 22 defensive digs and the Spartans blocked well all night ending with four solos and six assisted blocks.
Next up for the Spartans is the University of Dubuque River City Classic hosted in Stoltz Sports Center and McCormick Gymnasium on Friday, Sept. 27 and Saturday, Sept. 28.
