Eau Claire, Wis. – The University of Dubuque women’s soccer team took the first of two games on this weekend with a 1-0 win over UW-Eau Calire after an early goal from Molly Schiltz.

How It Happened
-The Spartan attack wasted no time finding their groove, getting two shots in the opening five minutes and three in the first ten minutes.
-Sophomore Molly Schiltz got UD on the board with her first goal of the season in the 15th minute.
-The UD offense would fire off six shots in total in the first half but only Schiltz was able to find the back of the net and the score would hold at 1-0 through the first 45 minutes.
-The Spartan offense was quieted in the second half, only getting off one shot but, the defense stepped up big time in the second half.
-UW-Eau Claire would attempt seven shots in all, but none could get past the Spartan defense and UD goalie Victoria Roethler.
