Women's Soccer Win In the Rain

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's soccer team remain unbeaten, but did allow their first goal of the season in a 2-1 victory over the College of Saint Scholastica on a rainy Sunday on Oyen Field.

UD would place 11 of their 17 shots on goal. Brooke Brodzinski led with five shots, Natalie Dienstbach and Isabelle Robinson would each finish with four shots. Brodzinski scored the first goal of the game at 23:41 and Dienstbach scored the game winning goal at 47:47.

Victoria Roethler in 90 minutes of action as the keeper would collect four saves and earn the win. She allowed her first goal of the season at 52:07.

UD is averaging 1.75 goals per game and a shot on goal percentage of .560. The Spartans have 35 corner kicks, 5o shots, and seven goals this season.

The Spartans (4-0 overall) will host North Central College on Sept. 13 at 7 p.m.
