Heritage Center Announces Spring 2021 Live at Heritage Center Performing Arts Series

Feb 1, 2021 | University Relations staff

DUBUQUE, Iowa – University of Dubuque Heritage Center’s compact Spring 2021 Live at Heritage Center Performing Arts Series will offer in-person performances for only UD faculty, staff, and students as well as virtual opportunities for the general public.

“More Than a Pipe Dream: A Socially Distanced Season” will restrict general public performances to a virtual event delivery with paid livestream access via ticketed admission. In-person performances will only be available for UD faculty, staff, and students this season.

“Hosting campus-only performances is rare for Heritage Center. However, we feel it is prudent to host campus-only performances this spring with social distancing and other measures in place because of the pandemic,” said Thomas Robbins, executive director of Heritage Center.

Heritage Center will take numerous additional steps to ensure the safety of patrons, staff, and guest artists. Audiences will be limited to around 325 patrons, or approximately one-third theater capacity, in John and Alice Butler Hall. Theater doors will open 60 minutes prior to showtime to allow ample time for seating, and performances will not include intermissions. Face coverings will be required.

Tickets are required for all events including livestreams, except where noted below. There is a limit of one ticket each per student, faculty, and staff for in-person performances.

In-person tickets are available exclusively via phone at 563.585.SHOW or in-person at the Farber Box Office, University of Dubuque, 2255 Bennet Street. The box office is open 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 90 minutes prior to events. All tickets are initially sold with socially distanced seating, subject to change.

Livestream tickets are available via phone or in-person at the Farber Box Office as well as online at www.dbq.edu/heritagecenter. Paid livestream events include the option of 48 hours of “on demand” access following the scheduled performance times.
