DUBUQUE, Iowa - University of Dubuque Heritage Center has partnered with Tonic Sol-fa and the Shaun Johnson Big Band Experience to bring I’ll Be Home for Christmas to audiences at the push of a button.

Tickets are available now for digital access to I’ll Be Home for Christmas featuring Tonic Sol-fa and the Shaun Johnson Big Band Experience at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11. Only 200 tickets are available for this VIP event for Dubuque audiences. A portion of each ticket purchased will benefit Heritage Center.

For two decades, performance venues throughout the Midwest have hosted Tonic Sol-fa’s sold-out holiday shows. While the pandemic has shuttered many in-person events, this high-energy vocal group is not sitting still. This season, Johnson will host I’ll Be Home for Christmas, a never before seen virtual that will be customized to each of the 20 communities on their virtual tour.

I’ll Be Home for Christmas will feature the Emmy-winning vocals of Tonic Sol-fa as well as the manic energy of a Top 5 Billboard artist with the Shaun Johnson Big Band Experience. Viewers will experience a 60-minute virtual event that will include special guests, new songs, a live chat, and an interactive Q&A.

Tonic Sol-fa is a ground-breaking a cappella ensemble from Minnesota. It stands as one of the leading forces in the world of vocal music with Emmy-winning arrangements and multi-million selling compositions. Ensemble members include lead vocalist Shaun Johnson, tenor and vocal percussionist Greg Bannwarth, baritone and percussionist/vocal percussionist Theo Brown, and bass Jared Dove.

The Shaun Johnson Big Band Experience presents a big band sound with an exhilarating edge. Complete with backup horns, strings, percussion, and keyboard, Johnson melds vocal jazz and swing with a contemporary attitude – to the delight of both traditionalists and newcomers.
