Aviation Career Day

Kick off Homecoming with students, flight instructors, and UD alumni pilot recruiters from Sky West, ExpressJet, Envoy, Republic Airways, Textron Aviation, and more! Refreshments will be provided. 

Heritage Society Dinner

The Heritage Society honors those who have indicated the University of Dubuque will receive a future investment from their estate. An invitation with additional details will be mailed to Heritage Society members.

Homecoming Registration – Spartan Welcome Center

Check in to pick up your name tag, event tickets, and Homecoming t-shirt! Check out the photo station to see who is attending Homecoming and be sure to get a picture with all of your friends. Stop by the Spartan Welcome Center throughout the day for additional event details, to grab snacks, and reminisce with friends.

Chapel Service

Reflect with alumni and students during this special Homecoming Chapel Service. 

Campus Tour
11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. | American Trust Lounge, Heritage Center
Take a walk down memory lane as you explore UD’s beautiful and ever-expanding campus where you’ll see new buildings, renovations, and student resources. This special "Then and Now" tour will be led by UD alumnus David Proudfoot (C'73) and a current UD staff member, with special surprise guests along the way. Join in to hear great stories from fellow Spartans, and be prepared to share your campus memories! Walking tour, golf carts available upon advanced request.

Dedicated at Homecoming 2015, the Sergeant Jeffrey B. Dodge Veteran’s Center is committed to providing support services for those veterans studying on campus. Stop by to congratulate the 2017 Veterans Award for Distinguished Service honoree, Richard “Ernie” Goebel, and join us as we honor this year’s Sergeant Jeffrey B. Dodge Scholarship Recipient, Johnathan James.

LIVE Pre-Show on Knapp Stage - Jake Theisen: Cool Acoustic Tunes

Get pumped up for Heritage Center's Main Stage event while enjoying some great music by Jeff Theisen. Jeff plays classics like Paul Simon, Pearl Jam, Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, and Johnny Cash to cover tunes from current artists such as One Republic, Zac Brown, and Ed Sheeran. All Spartans are welcome for this free event! 

Art Show – 5th Annual International Photography Exhibit
6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. | Bisignano Art Gallery, Heritage Center
UD students, staff and faculty go away. They travel to study; they travel to eat; they travel to see art; they travel to meet new people. And, thankfully, they all travel with their cameras. This exhibition displays over 100 images from around the world taken and submitted by our University community.

Tony Danza: Standards and Stories
7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. | John and Alice Butler Hall, Heritage Center  
Alumnus Tony Danza (C’72, HON’04) makes his debut appearance on the Heritage stage. Best known for his starring roles on two of television’s most iconic series, Taxi and Who’s The Boss, Danza has also established himself as a song and dance man, recently receiving rave reviews for his performance in the hit Broadway musical, Honeymoon In Vegas. Danza performs a selection of his favorite standards from the Great American Songbook, as well as selections from Honeymoon in Vegas, while interweaving stories about his life and personal connection to the music.

Spartan Fest continues immediately following the football game for an All Alumni Reunion! Join us under the "Big Tent" at Champps Americana as we gather with fellow Spartans for a great Homecoming celebration. This is the perfect opportunity to mingle with alums and enjoy refreshing beverages and tasty food at one of our favorite spots.  Dinner included, a private cash bar will be available throughout the evening.
