Men's Golf Places Second At Clarke Fall Invite

GALENA, Ill. - The University of Dubuque men's golf came away with a second place finish this weekend at the Clarke Fall Invite at the Eagle Ridge North Course, posting rounds of 315 and 316.
The Spartans shot a 315 on Friday afternoon and sat in second coming into Saturday after St. Ambrose posted a best score of 299 on Friday afternoon. UD stayed consistent on Saturday, despite the rainy conditions, to post a score just one shot different than Friday to pull away for the second place spot with a final score of 631 (+55).
UD had four indviduals post top-15 finishes over the weekend, with Jason Sikkema leading the pack with a 154 (+10) to earn a share of fifth place. Brad Buechel and Connor Michels finished back-to-back in 12th and 13th place with scores of 158 (+14) and 159 (+15), respectively. Wyatt Wagner rounded out the top-15, finishing 15th with rounds of 79 and 81 for a 160 (+16)
Levi Swanson, the fifth golfer for UD, shot a 166 (+22) for a 33rd place finish.
The UD men turn right back around to golf at the Loras Invite on Sunday, if weather permits.
