Advancement

Thank you for your interest in investing in the University of Dubuque!

UD is about students -- this has been true throughout our history, is today, and will be into the future.  We believe that each student who enrolls at the University comes with God-given gifts and talents.  Our task -- and our joy -- is to help students discover and mature those gifts not as an end in themselves, but in order to prepare them to move forward from this place for "service to church and world."

Giving is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students, to strengthen the University, and to provide the financial resources for the University to fulfill itsMission

Students today are faced with mounting costs for higher education, and donors help to ease the financial obstacles as they partner with the University in providing for scholarships and other financial assistance.  The acquisition of state-of-the-art facilities and resources would be out of reach without the generosity of donors, and students would miss challenging and enriching opportunities.

In fact, tuition covers only half of the costs of higher education at the University of Dubuque, with the important difference being contributed by alumni/ae, friends, foundations and corporations.  Donors are significant partners in the achievements and the promising future of each student at UD.

To ensure the future of that Mission, we are building endowment resources that will provide a steady source of support for students through prudent investment.  Returns from these investments will provide scholarship and academic resources every year. Many gifts to the endowment are given to the University through planned gifts, such as wills, trusts and charitable gift annuities.

Whether you are thinking of an annual contribution or a gift through your estate, whether your gift would be large or small, whether you wish to give cash, stock, or property, or whether you just want to gather information, we trust that these "giving pages" will be of help.
