Military Science at the University of Dubuque provides students with the opportunity to develop leadership, management, and decision-making skills while preparing to serve as officers in the United States Army. Through a partnership with the University of Iowa, students may participate in the Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) and earn a minor in Military Science. The program combines academic coursework with practical leadership experiences designed to prepare students to lead and serve their country, communities, and future organizations.
Making a Difference Through Leadership and Service
Army ROTC prepares students to become broadly educated leaders who understand the customs, traditions, and values of the military profession. Through coursework and hands-on experiences, students develop skills in leadership, ethics, teamwork, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and managing people and resources. Students who successfully complete Army ROTC requirements are prepared to serve as commissioned officers in the U.S. Army.
