The University of Dubuque women’s lacrosse team extended their school wins record and the greatest single-season scorer in UD history, attacker Kelly Wetherald, scored five goals to lead the Spartans past Elmhurst, 15-9, in their season finale on a rainy Saturday afternoon.

Men's Golf Shoot Lowest Score of IIAC Tournament

The University of Dubuque men's golf team unleashed the lowest round of the 2016 Iowa Conference Championships in the final round, a low of 294. The round was sparked by UD's All-Iowa Conference performer Cameron Shere who shot the lowest score of the tournament, a 70 in the final round.

Junior Jacob Padilla tossed a 7.0 inning complete game shutout and senior Daniel Karnick surrendered one run in 8.0 innings as the University of Dubuque baseball team beat Central, 6-0, and 5-3 to complete the 4-game sweep and earn their first Iowa Conference tournament bid since 2005.

The University of Dubuque baseball wrapped up their regular season on the road at Luther College on saturday and would finish tied with Coe College for fourth place in the Iowa Conference. The tie-break of head-to-head (UD was 1-3 against Coe) gave the #4 seed to Coe with the Spartans the #5 seed in the Iowa Conference Tournament which begins next week.
