Men's Golf 13th in Shortened Augustana Invite

The University of Dubuque men's golf team shot a first round 318 at the Augustana College Invitational on Friday afternoon at Frye Lake Golf Club, a Par 70 course. The Spartans were led by Jordan Elliott who finished with a round of 76 and tied for 24th overall.

Baseball vs. Knox Site Change

Due to weather and field conditions, the University of Dubuque baseball doubleheader against Knox College on Tuesday will now be in Galesburg, Illinois at Knox College. The doubleheader was originally scheduled to be played in Dubuque. First pitch on Tuesday is set for 2:00 p.m.

Three Spartans Obtain Iowa Conference Weekly Honors

Three University of Dubuque student-athletes have earned Iowa Conference player of the week honors. Dalton Garst was named Baseball Position Player of the Week and Male Athlete of the Week, with Abby Willis and Blaze Murfin winning Field Athletes of the Week for Track and Field.

Spartans Outhit Knox In Split

The University of Dubuque baseball team bounced back from a game one loss on Tuesday night to win game two against the Knox College Prairie Fire and earn the split to move to 12-12 on the season.

UD Team to Participate in All-Women Cross-Country Airplane Race

Two University of Dubuque students and a flight instructor will participate in the 42nd Air Race Classic (ARC), an annual all-women cross-country airplane race, in June. It’s the first time UD has had a team participate in the preeminent air race.

Women's Lacrosse at Augustana Postponed

Softball Splits with #9-ranked Luther Norse

The University of Dubuque softball has a tough stretch of Iowa Conference games after battling an awful spring weather. Friday kicked off a stretch of 12 games in eight days for the Spartans and none tougher than #9-ranked Luther College Norse who entered with just two losses on the season (25-2 overall). Luther won the opener by an 8-0 score in six innings, the Spartans rallied back to capture the second 2-1 and hand the Norse just their third loss of the season.

Spartans Swept on StrikeOut Cancer Doubleheader

The University of Dubuque and Loras College softball teams joined forces on Saturday in the annual StrikeOut Cancer game. The UD vs. Loras softball series enters it’s seventh year of joining forces in conjunction with NFCA Association and American Cancer Society’s annual StrikeOut Cancer initiative and have combined to raise $14,156.26 to date.

Men's Golf Place Fifth at Illinois College Blueboy Invite

The University of Dubuque men's golf team finished fifth at the Illinois College Blueboy Invite this weekend after shooting rounds of 301-306 to finish with a team score of 607. Leading scorer for the Spartans was Brady Ellis who finished with rounds of 74-75 for a two day total of 149 or a +5 over Par to tie for 14th overall.
