Women's Lacrosse Capture Victory in Rock Bowl

The University of Dubuque women's lacrosse team out scored the host Duhawks on Wednesday night in the Rockbowl to capture the match 9-8. The Spartans jumped out to an early 6-3 lead before the Duhawks rallied and scored a couple of goals right before halftime to knot the game at 6-6.

The University of Dubuque men's tennis team was forced indoors on Tuesday night as mother nature once again won the battle outside with a rare April snowstorm dropping five inches of snow in the Waverly area. The match was completed in the warm confines of the W as the host Knights would take the match 6-3 over the Spartans.

The University of Dubuque softball team fought through chilly weather on Thursday night and unfortunately would come up short in both games. In the opener, UD lost 5-7 and left five runners on base. In the nightcap, UD left bases loaded in the top of the seventh and once again would come up shy of the Cornell Rams who won 8-6 as the Spartans would strand 16 runners on base.

The Nebraska Wesleyan Prairiewolves warmed their bats for the second game and scored 14 runs off 15 hits in a 14-2 five inning victory over UD.
