Spartans Women's Golf Place in 8th Place of IIAC Championships

The 2015 Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) Women’s Golf Championship began on October 2-3, with the first 36 holes of the 72-hole Championship. The opening weekend’s rounds were played at Pheasant Ridge Golf Club in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The final 36 holes will be played October 9-10 at Thunder Hills Country Club in Peosta. The Spartans played eighth.

Cardiac Win for Spartans Football

INDIANOLA, Iowa - The University of Dubuque football team held on to capture the road win against the Simpson College Storm 31-24. The Spartans scored inside the final minute to break a 24-24 tie on a five yard Maurece Herrion touchdown run. The cardiac comeback for UD left time on the clock and Simpson stormed the ball down the field in the final 44 seconds before Cody Binicewicz picked off a pass at the Spartan 20 yard line in the final :14 seconds to capture the battle and improve to 2-0 in the Iowa Conference.

On Saturday morning, October 17, the University of Dubuque will officially dedicate the new Jeffrey B. Dodge Veterans Center. The ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m. on the University of Dubuque on the North Campus Quadrangle. The Jeffrey B. Dodge Veterans Center officially opened in spring of 2015 and is located in the garden level of Blades Hall. The dedication ceremony is free and open to the public.
