NSCAA Recognizes Spartan Soccer Teams for 2014-15 College Team Academic Award

The National Soccer Coaches association of America (NSCAA) annually recognizes college and high school soccer programs that have excelled in the classroom, in addition to their work on the field. A total of 859 soccer teams (305 men, 554 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA College Team Academic Award for the 2014-15 academic year. Of that total, 208 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized and the University of Dubuque was among those 208 schools.

The University of Dubuque will induct the 2015-16 Alumni Athletic Hall of Fame Class on Saturday, October 3, 2015. New members of the UD Hall of Fame are: Sara (Gassmann) Higgins (Class of 2001), Kim (Monigold) Kudlacik (Class of 2007), Basil Steele (Class of 2005), and Tim Wagner (Class of 1994). Connie Bandy-Hodge will be inducted into the Hall of Distinction. The awards ceremony begins at 11:00 a.m. in the Straatmeyer Rehearsal Room in the Heritage Center.
